This project is too good not to have it's own topic :)

Did they reuse the basic shape of the orbiter on their later project, Tu 2000?

It was already http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,220.0/all.html
I might add that the CGI created Vadim Lukashevich.

Hi bigvlada!

I like this one too!! But the Tu-2000 was earlier. The TU-674 (OOS) was a project of 1988/89. Here is another picture and good news: on buran.ru is a whole set of pictures containing it! http://www.buran.ru/htm/foto9.htm

Bye

EEH...TWENTYFOUR Jet engines !

Is that's not a little bit overkill ?

Real project has just 18. Read text at buran.ru

This one is correct image

674 project number and Apogee name are fictious

Last three, different scale model than one on the pictures.
The first image is clearly not an antonov-like aircraft. The scale model was a variant developed by TsaGI. So, anybody has more info on the first design of these 3?
