Five videos to load, Flash Player crashing and a browser that's gone wild. Thanks a bunch.

TO THE ADMIN:
I wish this were the first time it happened, but every time a page has several videos to load I get into real trouble. Considering I have a reasonably okay configuration (Geforce 710M graphics card) I guess people with an older computer must get into as much, into more trouble.

Why not allow for just the links to appear, so that people can click on them if they're interested?

TO BLACKKITE (and TRITON, who also does it all the time):
A little introductory sentence to explain the what, where and when wouldn't hurt. I almost never watch the videos posted on this forum because I don't know what it's about and I can't be bothered to spend 5 minutes or more to find out...

Though I have no problems with my computer at home, nor the one on job, I
very rarely click such pages with embedded videos, when I have to use my
UTMS surf stick during the evenings of the week, so Skyblazers idea may well
be something to think about, as it's no fun to view with a slower connection.

Nevertheless, the last video really seems to show the dangers of a pyroclastic
flow, due to it's very high speed. So, the number of victims is really regrettable,
but probably could have been much worse under slightly different circumstances.
The lessons Pompeji of Pompeji are still valid. :(

But the thing is, when you click on the topic's title, you don't know it's gonna be a page full of videos! And by the time you're there, the browser gets frozen and it takes over 3 minutes to recover!

Stephane, your computer or browser is fundamentally broken in that case. It takes my laptop running Chrome perhaps 2 seconds to load the entire topic. Even IE11 only takes 3 seconds.

As for the Nagano Prefectural Police, 31 mountaineers have collapsed on the 28th on the outskirts of a mountain trail near the summit of the mountain from the eruption of Mt. Ontake(3067 meters) in Nagano and the Gifu border between prefectures, and they announced that four men's death carried to Kiso-cho of foot was confirmed by it.
Although other 27 persons were in the state of a cardiopulmonary arrest, conveyance during the same day was given up because of the influence of poisonous gas accompanying an eruption.

In Mt. Ontake, this time has many mountaineers for enjoying famous autumnal leaves.

@ blackkite: Well, really a lovely sight .. without tons of ashes ! :-\

I was initially surprised to see the Type 89 IFV being used as part of the JGSDF's response to this disaster (AFP photo below via the Daily Telegraph), but on reflection, it's combination of being able to transverse very rough terrain and having NBC protection would make it ideal for SAR & ground evacuation ops in the current emergency.

What's dropping out of the sky aren't called volcanic bombs for a joke. An IFV would be ideal - until the pyroclastic flows and lahars start. A phreatic eruption like this looks like could be a prelude to something nastier.

blackkite - what happened to the people filmed at the start of the second video? That looks pretty deadly there.

I'm sorry. I'm not sure photography person's fate.
Since the picture remains, a photography person considers having been saved by him probably.
Since this eruption is not magma explosion but a phreatic explosion, the temperature of smoke is comparatively low.
The person involved in smoke is it lay down on the ground, the mouth was covered with the towel and breathing was secured.
Seemingly, many safe-return people were also ready for death.
Casualties received the direct hit of the volcanic bomb.
A big volcanic bomb has a report that it was a size about a minivehicle.

Two or more huts and a refuge hut are located on the Mt. Ontake summit, and many persons took refuge there.
As for the ceiling of the hut, some holes opened in response to the direct hit of a volcanic bomb.
The evacuee experienced extraordinary fear then.
The hut became pitch-black when wrapped in smoke.
After the eruption was settled, many people got down from the mountain.
There were some persons who passed a night in the hut, and the people got down from the mountain at the next morning.

Unexpected action saved the life.
It is exposed to the cinders poured merciless near the summit of the mountain in Mt. Ontake immediately after an eruption on the body, and the man who protected and suspended a life is only in the head, getting seriously injured which breaks six places.
The man who passed a night in the hut near a summit and was rescued by helicopter meets again with a father in a sickroom.
It talked about the end of the tragic state, "It was a painting-of-the-inferno figure."
The office worker of Kumagaya-shi, Saitama, Mr. Yoshiyuki Kato (29).
Mt. Ontake was climbed with the friend of the mountain-climbing circle, and the eruption was faced near the summit of the mountain on the 27th.
"It seemed to be the painting-of-the-inferno figure."
On the evening of the 28th after rescue, Mr. Kato will tell the father and the congratulation (59) who ran to the hospital from Kumagaya in response to connection that he turned round like this.
According to Hisashi, there was Mr. Kato near the summit of the mountain at the time of an eruption.
It said, "There was sound of an eruption called a burn and he thought "it is in big trouble", and although it escaped, the volcanic bomb has fallen."
It was difficult [ time ] to run into a hut, and in order to protect oneself from a falling object, the arm was improved and the head was guarded.
It is said that the volcanic bomb poured heartlessly from moreover.
With the shock, Mr. Kato gets seriously injured which breaks six places, such as a collarbone on either side, and an arm, etc.
However, only the life was saved by having borne stoically with the posture in which the head is protected.
Probably because it was attacked by heat from the step, the burn was undertaken to the leg.
The figure of the person who fell on the outskirts in response to the direct hit of cinders also went into eyes.
Mr. Kato who became full of whole body cracks takes refuge in the hut near a summit with the friends who climbed a mountain together.
It says that it was told to the friend that Shimoyama of itself was left and carried out, and it is said that it remained in the hut by one person.
It was rescued in the hut and taken to the hospital in Nagano by helicopter of the Self-Defense Forces on the morning of the 28th the day on broke.
Receiving connection from the climbing partner, the congratulation got to know that Mr. Kato was climbing Mt. Ontake.
"It did not know having gone to Mt. Ontake by no means.
He got to know that it was alive, and felt relieved truly."
Hisashi applied the hand to the breast and he said so.

The Self-Defense Forces were scheduled to rescue yesterday about 30 disaster victims left behind by the Mt. Ontake summit in the state of the cardiopulmonary arrest using the large helicopter.
However, there is fear of an eruption, the summit was full of volcanic poisonous gas, and the relief activity was stopped.

I've seen the pictures of the ash covered buildings before, but this is the first time I noticed the damage from the "lava bombs" on all the buildings. Must have been both loud and terrifying.

46 persons are regarded as the "damage death" by cinders having hit etc. among 47 persons by whom death was confirmed by the eruption of Mt. Ontake.
One person who remains is regarded as burn death.
About 20 persons are still missing.
The volcanic specialist has said that a forecast is very difficult for a phreatic explosion.
In the case of a phreatic explosion, smoke is white.

With the eruption disaster of Mt. Ontake, the whole picture of the discovery place of 47 disaster victims by whom death was confirmed became clear.
31 persons concentrated near the summit of the mountain, and one person was found by disaster victims also near "Tower of 36 chudren" of Gifu prefecture.
Most 31 persons were discovered near the Ontake shrine, several persons were discovered near the Ontake summit mountain villa, and a total of three persons were found also at two points of the circumference of it.
Ten persons including the slope of the mountain trail side were found in the mountain trail "Hacho darumi" of one person each and summit-of-the-mountain this side the Otaki summit mountain villa and near the Otaki inner shrine. [ on the way to the summit of the mountain ]

By the eruption of Mt. Ontake (Mr. Ontake, the prefectural border between Nagano and Gifu, 3067 meters) where 56 persons died, Governor Morikazu Abe of Nagano Prefecture announced on the 16th that he closes the search of seven unaccounted-for persons' this season.
