Rutans rocket-launching kite

Interesting, to say the least !.
The part, where the glider begins its climb, nevertheless, reminds me of reports about wartime
assault glider towing, when such a maneuver usually resulted in an emergency release of the
tow line, because it wasn't just the glider, which was towed, but the tail of the tug was raised
drastically then, leading to severe problems. But with modern flight control systems, this may
be solvable and maybe the sketch is exaggerating the tow angle ?
