Hi all,
Here is a list of reference books about aircraft produced in Latin America. These books are in Spanish, Portuguese or English unless mentioned. Additions and comments are welcome.

    Supposedly covers all the aircraft made in Latin America since 1945. Reviewers at Amazon.de have widely different opinions about this book.

  • FMA (Fábrica Militar de Aviones) Fábrica Militar de Aviones: Crónicas y testimonios, edited by Sergio Mansur, Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología, 2008
    Originally published as a book in 2007 by Agencia Córdoba Ciencia, the 2008 second edition used to be readable online, but has been removed from the Ministry's website. A pdf archive is still available at http://cyt-ar.com.ar/cyt-ar/index.php/Archivo:FMA.pdf
  • FMA (1927-1955) Argentina's Fábrica Militar de Aviones 1927-1955, in English language, by Georg von Rauch & Hernán Longoni, La Plume du temps / Historical series, 2009, ISBN 2913788688
    Published in English by a French publisher. It seems that the book was previously published in French, but this is unsure. It is said that the authors are preparing a new (third) edition. Hernán Longoni, one of the two authors, has an interesting website on aircraft in Argentina:

There are several series of monographs about aircraft used in Argentina.
  • Fuerzas Aeronavales This is by far the most prolific publisher, with several series. The books are regularly updated and republished with a higher number in the series.

    An older book, apparently the main reference for prewar aviation in Chile. Describes pioneer flights and attempts at aircraft construction.
Peru
