Project that lost to Tu-2000 during 'Oryol' reusable launch vehicles concept definition program ('93-'96).

Do you have an idea when work on the MiG-2000 and MiG-AKS started? Was it already in the Soviet times, or only as a response to the Oryol program? So far I haven't found a definitive answer.

Dunno. It's even more black world than Copper Canyon and NASP history (have you ever seen any publication that covers entire NASP program history)? Multiply this on Soviet secrecy and voila...it's all to be written. For me, USSR was a real pioneer in this field with 50x50 Spiral project that was made by whom? - Yes, right, OKB MIG...so we can only imagine what happened when.

It's THE BEST Spiral source so far.
