The bottom vehicle in the illustration was an attempt by Krupp to mount the 8.8cm Pak 43/3 L/71 on a Panzer IV chassis. Such an installation would have greatly exceeded the carrying capacity of the chassis and it remained a "paper project".
 
hi..I am new, so here goes. thank you for the pictures of the panzer jag IV. the German 88mm was a good weapon. I feel it was the best gun in ww2.
