Wow, I didn't knew about it. Googled it and seems that's full of unbuilt projects. I'm going to order a copy immediately. ;)

Try abebooks.com and your anger levels will drop pretty fast. I use to order from UK booksellers as it's much faster.

I received this book last week. Haven't had time to read much yet.Note that it covers the period from 1991 to the present day, with an emphasis on unbuilt projects. So don't expect much detail on e.g. the N-1 or Buran (both are mentioned briefly), but it does contain loads of designs for e.g. upgrades to Soyuz, new crew capsules, the Russian contribution to the ISS etc.

Abebooks has only a copy for 170€: frustrating!!

It seems the book is not available for European Union.

I give up

Don't give up - try buying direct from the publisher as FutureSpaceTourist suggests. I live in New Zealand, which is almost as remote as Antarctica and they at least processed my order. Granted, it's still to arrive (I only ordered it a few days ago), but I had no problem with their book on Dynasoar.

By the way, Anatoly is interviewed by David Livingston on The Space Show here:

I live in the EU, I ordered directly from the publisher and received the book quickly. Shipping cost was rather high though ($30? I'll have to check my records).

P&P is almost as expensive as the book itself? I need to think about pros and cons then...

This book makes me question future book orders. It's irrational expending 30€ P&P for a 40€ book.

Nobody can offer a better way to sell books, we're in the XXI Century.

I have the money but I'm not convinced about expending it in transportation.

Thanks everybody for the help

I just got my copy today, direct from the publisher. It's beautiful and compendious. Buy it!

Ok you persuaded me.

Book ordered although shipment costs really hurts at 34$ while the book is 49$. I hope I could report that the book worths the shipment costs.

Michel,

if you want to follow my steps go to

According to them, you'll receive the book in a two weeks term.

Thanks, pometablava for explanation
now i know how to order at Apogee page, is so more complex as compare to Amazon or iTunes ;)

but reason why i not have buy at Apogee books yet. is the high P&P prize of U$34 for a Book for U$49 = U$83 or 61 Euros
a another problem is the Belgium Duane, who love to intercept such US books and demand ransom, eeh import tax.
that reason why i order at Amazon UK or Germany, so the bastards cannot intercept the package and rip it open looking for drugs
or get on bizarre odyssey with Belgium post...

Well, I received the book within the agreed time and excellent condition. The high shipment cost could be understand because the weight of the book. The thick paper helps to enjoy the beautiful pictures. It is a highly illustrated book and I love it. It has the taste of old that wonderful and exciting graphic books from my childhood.

I had no time to verify the text looking for typos but, at first look, I'm very pleased with my decision to go ahead and buy it. It's a great compilation of Russian projects from 1989: rockets, space stations and interplanetary programs. Detailed with references to both early Soviet programs and contemporary US and European counterparts. To date I only knew about US Moon Bases so I enjoy very much the extensive coverage of Soviet and Russian projects

I recommend this book to space enthusiasts.

I order at apogee prime "Russia in space" and "2001: the Lost Science"

Let see wenn the books arrive intact true Belgium Duane and mail service before X-mass…

by the way
Anatoly Zak put this Page as Review, on his website about his book B)
