No evidence for that. The construction description from August 1940 says two DB 606 A-Bs, which is really four engines (see attached, which shows that two linked engines were specified).
I suppose if there was going to be a version with four engine nacelles (4 x DB 606) this would technically have eight engines. But even as the P 1062 I've never heard of plans to do that and fitting four DB 606s would be unnecessary - you wouldn't get much additional speed and you would need double the fuel, adding weight and reducing range. And the whole point of the Me 261 was its 11,000km maximum range.
