Khodynka Museum Is No More :(

Indeed ! The only comfort is, that it seems to have been necessary to conduct this act of vandalism
at night and as fast as possible. So it doesn't seem to reflect the majority opinion.

Hi Flat Eric,

How are you ?

I've sent you a message (off board) about this disaster ; I am happy to have taken many photographs in August during my trip to Moscow. The worse thing is that the Khodinka collection did contain some unique airplanes, like the Sukhoi T 10-20 for example. It would have been a nice addition in the Monino museum (if they had the money to carry and restore the plane).

All the Best,

Cannot understand, why it wasn't possible to offer those aircraft in time to anyone interested.
Could have even raised some money for the current owners and without interest, they still could
have been destroyed, so no risk, I think. Or were they still "secret" ? ::)

Hi All,

Here are some of the photographs I have taken at Khodinka in August 2012 (note that photographs are aimed at modelers - the reason of details pictured).

It is the first part (limits imposed by Flickr), the rest will follow later.
