This is, sadly, all that the NASM had of any real worth on the Fairchild F-15. A billion copies of the same lame "F-15 Thunder For The 70's" brochure that had nothing on the actual design, scattered throughout their files. And these few drawings. Sigh.

Anyway, you know where to get the higher rez versions...

And so the endless circle of life comes to an end, meaningless and grim. Why did they live, and why did they die? No reason. Two hundred million years of evolution snuffed out, for in the end Nature is horrific and teaches us nothing

Scott's scans of the Fairchild FX cleaned up. Great design.

Artist rendition of Fairchild-Republic FX from warbird information exchange.  Should be a color version out there somewhere.

Great find!!!

I have always loved Fairchild FX (F-15) ever since I first sore it in the book 'The Thunder Factor'.
Was the 'Thunder' the official name for the design (as portraid in this picture!)
I look forward to a colour version of this picture and I salute the man who finds it!!!

G`day gents

Does anyone know if Fairchild-Republic built a mock-up of their FX design??
I can not say that I have read anything acknowledging this.

What appears to be a 1965 Republic Aircraft Corporation (later, Fairchild) FX study. It has no similarity to the final Fairchild FX design above except for the vertical fin, but rather shows some similarities to the AVS designs.
