Stumbled across this website, with some interesting Ki-94-I stuff. Check out the PDF of the mockup review... some good photos.

Here's a link to tribute site for Tatsuo Hasegawa. Has some interesting links to original design documents for the Ki-94 series (some additional images of the Ki-94-I prototype)

Prior to Tachikawa Ki-94-Ⅱ, Ki-94-Ⅰ was studied. The mock up completed in 1943.
BTW the IJA rejected this design in February 1944, because the after propeller was dangerous when pilot escape the aircraft.

Wing span : 15.0m, Length : 13.05m, Gross weight ; 8,800~9,400kg, Engine : HA-211 LU×2(take off power 2,200hp each), Maximum speed : 780km/h/10,000m, Service ceiling : 14,000m, Armament : 37mm cannon×2, 30mm cannon×2, 50kg bomb×2

There is a opinion that those engines had turbo chargers, but I can't confirm it in 3-side view. :-\

Japanese text says that this fighter had a pressurized cabin and it's shape is (P-38+Do335)/2. ;D

Hi! Where were turbo chargers?

Also Ki-94Ⅰ has the mystery until the official drawing is discovered which includes the location for turbocharger, oil cooler air intake and intercooler air intake.
Anyway thanks a lot for great speculative drawing of Ki-94Ⅰwith Vulkan coupling drive supercharger.
