I have been in side the cockpit of the KA-31 of the IN , althought the cockpit has many switches , Display ,Panels and instrument etc and dosent look exactly neat , But its still a comfortable one .

Well the KA-31 can be described as a Chopper full of instrument , the whole place inside the chopper or every possible place is just fitted with one avionics system, computers and other systems ,and some how they even found a place for the pilot.

The Radar is very effective out to a Range of 250 Km but it requires some onboard system on ships so that it can datalink with the chopper , the processing etc is done on ships.

It is also a mainteinance intensive chopper and neverthless a reliable machine and IN likes its performance , The KA-31 on the IN is also fitted with certain Indian system

Thanks,
