Tupolev ANT-30 SK-1 Multi-Role Aircraft & SB

Judging the large wing and lareg diameter props of this model, it seems to be for
high altitude flights ? But I cannot find any mention in the linked site.

I have the ANT-30 listed as a "four-seat ʺflying cruiserʺ multirole aircraft developed from ANT-7/-21". What exactly is meant by "flying cruiser" I do not know. A small civilian transport? If so, the possibility of it being for high-altitude flying seems very unlikely...

The term "flying cruiser" was used for multi place/multi engined fighters, I think, probably mainly for escort
of pure bombers. Nevertheless, such an aircraft with high altitude capability seems unlikely for me, too. But
as "multi-role aircraft", there may have well been a high altitude (bomber) version.

A clearer view; Tupolev SB Soviet High Speed Bomber

Hi!

"In 1933-1934 years, the Air Cruiser project Twin-engineed a multi-purpose aircraft, which the ideas laid in R-6 and Mi-3, were being developed at the technical requirements for the airforce. The military ordered a twin-engine Land Cruiser, from the SC-1 to the Land Cruiser.

From the Air Force on the ant-30 aircraft, TTT, aerodynamic analysis, models, construction documents for an experimental specimen were produced, and experimental production began. But all the work was gradually phased out at the end of 1933, in early 1934, by which time the technical readiness of STA-30 was estimated at 16%. The reason was the decision to move to a more promising type of aircraft, the Ant-40 (SB), as well as the gradual demise of the concept of a generic cruiser aircraft."
